Welcome back otter
Article Abstract:
Otters are returning to New York's Otselic River after a hundred years. The project drew about 200 people, including children who assisted in raising money for the program. Organizers planned to relocate otters in 1975, but financing such a project was difficult. By 1995, attitudes had changed and state biologists held public meetings to discuss their project with interested groups.
