The massive binary companion star to the progenitor of supernova 1993J
Article Abstract:
Photometric and spectroscopic observations of supernova (SN) 1993J ten years after the explosion are reported. The massive star that underwent a collapse of its core to produce SN1993J was thereafter described as a non-variable red supergiant star in images of the galaxy M81 taken before explosion.

Photocatalyst releasing hydrogen from water
Article Abstract:
An advance in the catalysis of the overall splitting of water under visible light is described. The new catalyst is a solid solution of gallium and zinc nitrogen oxide (Ga(sub 1-x)Zn(sub x))(N(sub 1-x)O(sub x)), modified with nanoparticles of a mixed oxide of rhodium and chromium.
