The east cost regions of New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania are planning to have renewed growth in biomedicine. The northeast corridor is home to number of drug companies, including Merck, Pfizer, Wyeth, Johnson & Johnson, and Schering-Plough, all of which have a presence in New Jersey.

Programmed cell death, mitochondria and the plant hypersensitive response
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning programmed cell death in plants in response to attempted infection by microbial pathogens are discussed. It is suggested that the regulators used by plants to control cell death are not the same as those used by humans, flies and worms.
