An emptier emptiness?
Article Abstract:
The experimentalist working at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York have vaporized one symmetry-breaking aether, and produced a more perfect emptiness. The symmetry described is called chiral symmetry and involves the behavior of quarks, which are the principal constituents of the protons and neutrons in atomic nuclei.

In search of symmetry lost
Article Abstract:
The successful gauge theory of electroweak interactions postulates a more extensive symmetry for its equations than are manifest in the world. The discrepancy is ascribed to a pervasive symmetry-breaking field, which fills all space uniformly, rendering the Universe a sort of exotic superconductor.

From 'not wrong' to (maybe) right
Article Abstract:
The models of supersymmetry and its principles that might help to unify fundamental physics are presented. The study postulate that the fundamental equations of physics have the symmetry, but the stable solutions of these equations do not.
