An evolved spatial memory bias in a nectar-feeding bird?
Article Abstract:
The studies have described that nectar-feeding birds learn more easily to avoid a previously rewarding location (to win-shift) than to return to such a location (to win-stay) and it has been interpreted as an evolved adaptation to the fact that nectar is a depleting resource. The tendency of captive-reared Regent honeyeaters, Xanthomyza Phrygia, a species of nectar-feeding bird, to win-shift or win-stay at different intervisit intervals are tested.

Client fish ectoparasite loads and cleaner shrimp Urocaridella sp. c hunger levels affect cleaning behaviour
Article Abstract:
A study to determine whether cleaner shrimp hunger levels influence cleaning time a manipulation is made in hunger level in Urocaridella sp. c and behaviour towards the parasitized client fish is examined. The study revealed that the cleaner shrimps preferred parasitized to unparasitized client fish and food-deprived cleaner shrimp cleaned parasitized rock cods more frequently than satiated cleaner shrimps did.

Optimality in avian migratory fuelling behaviour: a study of a trans-Saharan migrant
Article Abstract:
Fuel deposition rates and departure loads calculated for reed warblers (Acrocephalus scirpaceus) suggest that reducing predation risk during foraging impacts the fueling duration/time minimization dynamic during migration.
