Ancient Egyptian chronology and the astronomical orientation of pyramids
Article Abstract:
The dating of the ancient Egyptian pyramids of Giza has until now been accurate to within only approximately one hundred years, because there is no written evidence of when they were built, and carbon dating cannot be more precise. New research reveals a more accurate means of dating the pyramids by looking at how the Egyptians used northern or circumpolar stars for orientation of the pyramids to the north.
