An abundant population of small irregular satellites around jupiter
Article Abstract:
Research discovers 23 new irregular satellites of Jupiter bringing the total population of Jupiter satellites to 32. Results reveal five distinct groups of satellites, each containing one relatively large body. Data indicate the oridgins of the satellite groups is probably by collisional shattering of precursor objects captured by Jupiter.

Core formation in planetesimals triggered by permeable flow
Article Abstract:
Planetesimals probably had interior temperatures sufficiently over 1,000C to allow for segregation of iron alloy to form a core, according to researchers in Japan. The collision of these planetesimals to form the Earth means that Earth's core is likely the result of the accretion of the planetesimals' cores.
