Bamboozled
Article Abstract:
A study described three species of bamboo in tropical Australia, labeled as Neololeba atra, Bambusa moreheadiana, and Bambusa arnhemica. The flowering of bamboos are in dramatic cycles, unique to each species, and sometimes simultaneous flowering does happen, often from vegetatively propagated plants from the same source and of the same age.

Article Abstract:
Florida soapberry, a dryland tree native to tropical America is poisonous to humans and some other animals but useful as a soap substitute. Plants manufacture a range of surfactants or detergents that go under the general name of saponin, a secondary plant compound not involved primarily in photosynthesis or growth.
