CNRS plays down 'embryo freezing' results
Article Abstract:
France's Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) issued a press statement that undermines a research team's much publicized conclusion on embryo freezing. The research results stated that embryo freezing affects embryo development, demanding the reevaluation of the safety of artifical reproductive procedures in humans. CNRS claims that the conclusions are inadequate and hence the publicity is not justified.

CNRS returns fire on ethics review panel
Article Abstract:
The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) has issued a report which heavily criticises public research agencies in France. The report, entitled Ethics and Scientific Institutions, accuses administrative heads of political corruption. Science administration representatives are furious with the CNRS for making judgements of this kind and say that the report steps outside the COMETS committee's jurisdiction.
