Cannabinoids control spasticity and tremor in a multiple sclerosis model
Article Abstract:
It has been possible to obtain evidence for the rational assessment of cannabinoid derivatives in the control of spasticity and tremor in multiple sclerosis. It was found that the endogenous cannabinoid system could be tonically active in the control of tremor and spasticity. This supports patients' reports of the therapeutic potential of cannabis in the control of the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. It may be possible to upregulate endogenous produced cannabinoids to mediate therapeutic benefit.

A surprising simplicity to protein folding
Article Abstract:
The immense complexity of polypeptide chains would seem to preclude prediction of protein structure and folding mechanisms. However new research suggests that folding mechanisms are determined by relatively simple physics dependant on topology, with considerable implications for structural prediction.

Illusory perceptions of space and time preserve cross-saccadic perceptual continuity
Article Abstract:
It is shown that the 'stopped clock' illusion occurs when the brain extends the percept of the saccadic target back in time just prior to the onset of the saccade.
