Card9 controls a non-TLR signalling pathway for innate anti-fungal immunity
Article Abstract:
Card9 is identified as a key transducer of Dectin-1 signalling that operates as a key adaptor for non-Toll-like receptors (non-TLRs) pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) signal transduction, which is required to link Dectin-1/Syk activation to Bcl-10-Malt1-dependent NF-kB activation for innate anti-fungal immunity. The results have defined an innate immunity pathway and have showed that evolutionarily distinct immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (IATM) receptors in innate and adaptive immune cells use diverse adaptor proteins to engage selectively the conserved Bcl10-Malt1 module.

Ras regulates assembly of mitogenic signalling complexes through the effector protein IMP
Article Abstract:
Impedes Mitogenic signal Propagation (IMP) functions as a threshold modulator which controls sensitivity of the cascade to stimulus. It provides a mechanism to allow adaptive behavior of the cascade in chronic or complex signalling environments.
