Reevaluating convoys and the IED: We can do a better job of protecting and preparing our convoys
Article Abstract:
Improvised explosive devices (IEDs) or the roadside bombs cause loss of equipment and personnel of the ground force convoys in Iraq. Some changes in strategy like traveling at night, using more airpower and consolidating convoys can be adopted to solve the issue, but preparation and protection of essential convoys need a combination of equipment development, tactics, operation and strategy so as to achieve a balance between troop welfare and mission accomplishment.

Industry in revolution
Article Abstract:
The Polish government's plans for preparing the country for European Union membership include making financial assistance available to industry. There has been a significant rise in industrial productivity since 1994, but there is still considerable potential for improvement. The government is particularly keen to encourage the creation of small and medium-sized companies, which now employ 1.6 million people, or around a sixth of the total workforce.

Catastrophes are still interesting
Article Abstract:
Catastrophic population declines should not be abandoned as subjects of study simply because they are extreme stochastic events. They can put entire populations at risk, and differences in numbers which seem negligible may have profound effects on population viability. A change in definition does not change the fact that catastrophic die-offs happen.
