Changes to the Earth's rotation axis owing to advection of mantle density heterogeneities
Article Abstract:
Scientists have calculated the Earth's polar wander using geoid modelling analysis to provide a mantle flow field which correlates to tomographic anomalies and time-dependent lithospheric plate motions. The technique involves the calculation of and alterations in mantle density heterogeneities since the Cenozoic period. The research highlights the slow speed of polar wander and may be used to predict future shifts in the Earth's position.

Boron and oxygen isotope evidence for recycling of subducted components over the past 2.5 Gyr
Article Abstract:
The boron and oxygen isotope evidences, derived from an Archaen oceanic planet are being used to study the recycling of various subducted components that are almost 2.5 billion years (Gyr) old.
