Decline of surface temperature and salinity in the western tropical Pacific Ocean in the Holocene epoch
Article Abstract:
Surface water salinities are low in the western tropical Pacific Ocean and increase towards the eastern part of the basin in the present-day climate. Oxygen isotope and Mg/Ca data form foraminifers retrieved form three sediment cores in the western tropical Pacific Ocean are combined to reconstruct Holocene sea surface temperatures and salinities in the region.

A great grand-daddy of ice cores
Article Abstract:
A record of Earth's climate over the past eight ice ages and their associated interglacial periods is uncovered from a new ice core in Antarctica, almost doubling the age of icecore records. Air temperature over Antarctica is inferred from the ratio of deuterium and hydrogen in the ice at Dome C.

Palaeo-oceanography Deepwater variability in the Holocene epoch:
Article Abstract:
Variations in the carbon-isotope composition of benthic foraminifera in the Holocene epoch of relatively mild climate in the deep waters of North America may be linked to surface and atmospheric changes. Discusses the research, accompanied by instrument readings.
