Dependence of magnetorestivity on charge-carrier density in metallic ferromagnets and doped magnetic semiconductors
Article Abstract:
Magnetoresistance has applications in technologies such as magnetic recording. Magnetic fluctuations can been suppressed by a magnetic field, resulting in negative magnetoresistance. Magnetic scattering may also have a role in colossal magnetoresistance seen in some perovskite manganese oxides. Generic models of magnetic scattering have shown that the bulk low-field magnetoresistance is determined by the charge-carrier density.

Iron cast in exotic role
Article Abstract:
Issues are presented concerning the superconducting characteristics of iron which has been subjected to pressures above 10-GPa and temperatures of below 2-degrees Kelvin. The structure of the superconducting iron is discussed.

Superconductivity in the non-magnetic state of iron under pressure
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the transformation of iron, which has been subjected to pressures of between 15- and 30-GPa and cooled to below 2-degrees Kelvin, from a ferromagnet into a superconductor.
