Mice overexpressing human uncoupling protein-3 in skeletal muscle are hyperphagic and lean
Article Abstract:
Mice are studied with reference to their overexpressing of a human uncoupling protein-3 (UCP-3). The results using magnetic resonance imaging show that these mice are hyperphagic and lean and that UCP-3 can affect metabolic rate.

Accumulation of autophagic vacuoles and cardiomyopathy in LAMP-2-deficient mice
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the influence of lysosome-associated membrane protein-2 deficiency on the mortality of mice. The formation of vacuoles in key organs and tissues is discussed.
