German archeologist Susanne Osthoff, kidnapped in Iraq, was fighting to protect archeological sites from being plundered in the postwar chaos. Many archeological sites and invaluable artifacts are being looted and Osthoff was just being heroic trying to defend this treasure and her kidnapping has only raised the profile of the problem with international media taking a note of this.

Article Abstract:
The nuclear accident at Chernobyl in the year 1986 exposed hundreds of thousands of people to radioactive fallout. A full independent study of the consequences of the world's worst nuclear accident is not established and its results published for all to assess and wildly differing claims would continue.
