Dispersal of yearling pronghorns in western South Dakota
Article Abstract:
A research was conducted to determine timing, distance, and movements during dispersal and new range establishment by yearling pronghorns (Antilocapra americana) in western South Dakota. The study revealed that the habitat quality and pronghorn density partly spurs dispersal, and home range sizes and distance traveled during predispersal and dispersal movements by pronghorns increases with reduction in habitat patch size.

Long-distance dispersal by a subadult male cougar from the Black Hills, South Dakota
Article Abstract:
Long-distance dispersal of a subadult male cougar was reported from the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming to east-central Oklahoma. Straight-line distance from M16's last telemetry location to the site of mortality was the farthest dispersal movement documented for a subadult cougar.

Effects of sarcoptic mange on coyotes at Wind Cave National Park
Article Abstract:
The effects of sarcoptic mange on the coyotes a Wind Cave National Park were studied. Results concluded that mange had significant impact on coyote population leading to reduction in survival rate and potentially density.
