Dynamic control of positional information in the early Drosophila embryo
Article Abstract:
The substantial anterior shifts in the position of gap domains after initial establishment using a data driven mathematical approach are reported. The analysis made implies that the threshold-dependent interpretation is not sufficient to determine shifting gap domain boundary positions and suggests that interpreting positional information are not independent processes in the Drosophila blastoderm.

Conserved mechanisms of glucose sensing and regulation by Drosophila corpora cardiaca cells
Article Abstract:
Studies done to show by targeted cell ablation, that Drosophila corpora cardiaca (CC) cells of the ring gland are also important for larval glucose homeostasis is presented. Results of the studies reveal that Drosophila CC cells are crucial regulators of glucose homeostasis and they use glucose sensing and response mechanisms similar to islet cells
