Ecological correlates of human dispersal in 19th century Sweden
Article Abstract:
A study on dispersal patterns of the Swedish population indicated that male migration was usually in response to resource limitation. In the 19th century dispersal probability was seriously affected by access to resources affected. Females, throughout life, showed higher dispersal rates than males. Majority of male and female dispersers were in the pre-reproductive stage and dispersal rates of married individuals with children was much less than that of unmarried adults. This supports the hypothesis that dispersal is strongly related to reproduction strategies.

Genotype constraints on plasticity for corpse removal in honey bee colonies
Article Abstract:
The strength of genetic effect on individual worker bees in honey bee societies will to do a certain task, such as undertaking, may harm a bee colony's capacity to respond to change. The assumption that flexibility in honey bee, Apis melicera, division of labor can be affected by genotypic differences in worker behaviour was studied in colonies with electrophoretically distinct families.
