Effects of urbanization and habitat fragmentation on bobcats and coyotes in southern California
Article Abstract:
The ecology and behavior of bobcats and coyotes relative to development in a fragmented landscape in southern California from 1996 to 2000 was studied. It has been suggested that human-dominated areas were less suitable than natural areas in some important way as home-range size was positively correlated with urban association for coyotes and adult male and young female bobcats.

Effects of Urbanization on the Distribution and Abundance of Amphibians and Invasive Species in Southern California Streams
Article Abstract:
Research on 35 streams north of Los Angeles, California, shows that urbanization has dramatically changed stream habitat, and that it may foster the growth of invasive species that negatively impact the abundance and diversity of native amphibian populations in the region.

Anticoagulant exposure and notoedric mange in bobcats and mountain lions in urban southern California
Article Abstract:
The effects of anticoagulant exposure and notoedric mange in bobcats and mountain lions in urban southern California were examined. Results concluded that the effect of secondary poisoning can be widespread having direct as well as indirect effects on mortality.
