End of the 'free lunch' for big eaters
Article Abstract:
People using a large amount of bandwidth on the Internet will have to pay more than those using less Internet services. The overuse of the World Wide Web by students in the US restricts the use of higher applications and supercomputing on Internet. The US National Science Foundation has proposed prioritizing the information traffic on the Internet and rating the packets according to the quality of the service. Many researchers oppose the priority system which may restrict their using of the applications necessary for them.
