Enhanced responses to a DNA vaccine encoding a fusion antigen that is directed to sites of immune induction
Article Abstract:
Directing antigen to antigen-presenting cells speeds up and changes the form of the immune response to encoded antigens that are produced by the host. Directing antigen to sites of immune-response induction could be a genetic way of achieving a strong and effective immune response to a DNA vaccine. By targeting different lymphoid compartments, it is possible to obtain some control over the extent and form of the immune response. This could be a valuable tool in the development of genetic and more ordinary vaccines.

Enhanced yield of photoinduced electrons in doped silver halide crystals
Article Abstract:
It has been possible to show the effect of doping silver halide crystals with the bielectronic donor ion formate, which cannot reduce silver cations in the dark, thus avoiding the danger of fogging. The photoinduced bielectronic transfer is entirely proportional to the number of photons absorbed, down to the shortest exposure times studied. The efficiency is constant at all illumination levels, applying to both dye-sensitized and unsensitized crystals.

Enhanced power in yellowfin tuna
Article Abstract:
Issues are presented concerning the performance of the specialized red muscle of the yellowfin tuna and the way in which it can improve the speed of the fish's swimming at cruising and high speeds.
