Factors preventing the recovery of New Zealand forests following control of invasive deer
Article Abstract:
There has been limited success in the control programs invested heavily by the government that aim at reducing deer numbers and thereby restoring forests to something approaching their preinvasion composition and structure. Several examples of situations in which deer impacts may not be reversible that is based on a literature review are given.

The fate of passeriform introductions on oceanic islands
Article Abstract:
Issues discussed concern the all-or-none pattern of bird introduction success on oceanic islands. Research presented addresses how species-level adaptations are determining factors of introduction outcome, and how a generalized introduction model based on the all-or-none pattern may be a useful tool for conservation biologists.

Climatic Suitability, Life-History Traits, Introduction Effort, and the Establishment and Spread of Introduced Mammals in Australia
Article Abstract:
Successful mammal invasions in Australia were found to be nonherbivorous, have traits linked to a quicker population growth rate, a larger area of suitable habitat, and a greater overseas range size. A forward-selection model was found to be a useful tool to identify and assess biological invasions.
