Helium isotopic evidence for episodic mantle melting and crustal growth
Article Abstract:
Researchers show that the spectrum of [super 4]He/[super 3]He ratio in ocean island basalts have preserved the mantle's depletion history, correlating closely with the ages of proposed continental growth pulses. The helium isotopic evolution model is consistent with whole convection as it does not need a primitive, undegassed mantle reservoir.

Osmium isotopic constraints on the nature of the DUPAL anomaly from Indian mid-ocean-ridge basalts
Article Abstract:
Os, Pb, Sr and Nd isotopic compositions of Indian MORB from the Central Indian ridge, the Rodriguez triple junction and the South West Indian ridge is measured. It is also argued that delamination of lower continental crust may explain the DUPAL isotopic signature of Indian MORB.
