Henry Salt and 100 years of animal rights

Henry Stephen Salt, an Eton scholar wrote the book 'Animal Rights Considered in Relation to Social Progress' in 1892. The book has had a lasting impact on animal welfare reforms. Salt died in April 19, 1939 after publishing over 40 books and working for humanitarian concerns.

Wildlife ballot initiatives pass in two states
Article Abstract:
Citizens of Arizona and Oregon voted to approve legislative wildlife protection initiatives in their respective states. The new Oregon rules ban bear baiting and hunting with the use of telemetry collars, while the Arizona laws ban the use of snares and some other traps.
