Horizontal hostility
Article Abstract:
Vegan vegetarians believe that the recent media portrayal of competition between cows and chickens in avoiding being eaten is an example of "horizontal hostility," that is, using energy and violence against each other rather than against their oppressors. This occurs when oppressed groups who are not empowered, turn their rage onto each other out of frustration with their situation.
