Hot times in the solar nebula
Article Abstract:
The low concentration of lighter isotopes of potassium in the inner Solar System bodies arises because of their formation by condensation of hot matter. Primitive meteorites have abundances of moderately volatile elements that are significantly less than that inferred to have characterized the solar nebula. The compositional aspect, strongly correlated with volatility, is explained by thermal processing at 1200 degree Kelvin, mainly by partial condensation in a hot nebula. The refractory inclusions and chondrule flash are probably formed when the nebula is hot and other parts cool down.

Three's a crowd
Article Abstract:
It has been suggested that the star-formation process may only very infrequently lead directly to the formation of single protostars. In fact, protostars and young stars seem to form mainly in groups of two or more.
