Importance of habitat area and landscape context for species richness of bees and wasps in fragmented orchard meadows
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that the area and connectivity of habitat fragments play a role in the habitat conservation with respect to the species richness and abundance of bees, wasps, and their predators. Data further show that bees population densities increase with habitat connectivity and total species richness and richness of bees, eumenid wasps, and predators increase with habitat area.

Regional turnover and fluctuation in populations of five plants confined to serpentine seeps
Article Abstract:
Spatial patterns in population turnover were analyzed for five plant species confined to a patchy and isolated habitat, serpentine seeps. It was found that for rare plants in isolated habitats, spatial configuration of populations, have a big influence on local population persistence.

Viability of the Serengeti cheetah population
Article Abstract:
Demographic data of twenty years was used to determine the growth rate of Serengeti cheetahs. Population was influenced by adult survival followed by juvenile survival.
