Interferon discovery and ferret flu
Article Abstract:
The analysis describes the research of Jean Lindenmann and Alick Issacs, which stated that the inactivated virus triggers the cells and produces protein to suppress the live virus. The analysis shows that the protein, interferon can hence be used to treat ferret flu and cancer.

The Sclavo Institute was taken over by Novartis in April 2006 as a part of acquisition of Chiron. The Sclavo Institute has many vaccines in its account whose trial will get a boost with help of funds from Novartis and it will help Novartis to become a world leader in vaccines.
