Intraindividual variance in trait size and the analysis of developmental instability
Article Abstract:
Developmental instability has attracted interest as a reflection of environmental stress, and fitness. Fluctuating asymmetry can occur as a result of developmental instability. There has been a debate on the statistical analysis of the links between insigned asymmetries and additional variables. A focus on trait size as a guide to developmental instability can help avoid some problems associated with absolute unsigned asymmetry.

The analysis of ordinal response data in the behavioural sciences
Article Abstract:
Techniques for analyzing ordinal response data are similar to conventional linear modeling techniques. They allow researchers to determine whether ordinal response variables are affected by either continuous or categorical variables. However, despite availability of ordinal response models and their numerous and diverse potential applications for behavioral research, only a few behaviorists and ecologists use them.

A simple technique for estimating a constant daily survival rate for reproductive attempts
Article Abstract:
A straightforward method for estimating a constant daily survival rate for reproductive attempts is presented. Simple two-sample tests have been undertaken to compare the daily survival rates between two groups of breeding attempts.
