Living large in the Cretaceous
Article Abstract:
The discoveries of large, carnivorous mammals from the Cretaceous challenge the long-held view that primitive mammals were small and uninteresting. The fascinating discoveries of near-complete fossil skeletons found in the Lujiatun fossil beds at the base of the Yixian Formation in northeastern China have outdated the view.

A gigantic bird-like dinosaur from the late cretaceous of China
Article Abstract:
A new non-avian dinosaur, Gigantoraptor erlianensis from the late cretaceous Iren dabasu formation of Nei Mongol China which shows many bird-like features absent in its smaller oviraptorosaurian relatives is reported.
