Magmatic and amagmatic seafloor generation at the ultraslow-spreading Gakkel ridge, Arctic Ocean
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on Gakkel ridge's magmatic variations in the Arctic Ocean. The authors report that mantle melting is due to along-axis variations of mantle temperatures at depth and mantle chemistry, and that the first-order ridge segmentation is controlled by melting and melt segregation of mantle.

Dynamical coupling of wind and ocean waves through wave-induced air flow
Article Abstract:
An analysis of wind velocities and ocean surface elevations over open ocean is presented in an effort to determine the dynamics of wind and wave generation. The article concludes that it is unlikely that a simple set of parameters for air-sea momentum flux exists.
