Membrane curvature and mechanisms of dynamic cell membrane remodelling
Article Abstract:
Membrane curvature is an active means to create membrane domains to organize centres for membrane trafficking and is no longer seen as a passive consequence of cellular activity and there is an interplay between the curvature generating and sensing proteins during vesicle budding. The vesicle budding and fusion occur with constantly maintaining the communication between the membrane bound compartments and in other cases the membrane curvatures are stabilized.

Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids stimulate cell membrane expansion by acting on syntaxin 3
Article Abstract:
Cell membrane expansion is achieved through the fusion of transport organelles with the plasma membrane, however, the identity of the molecular target of arachidonic acid has remained elusive. It is shown that syntaxin 3 (STX3), a plasma membrane protein, has an important role in the growth of neurites, and also serves as a direct target for omega-6 arachidonic acid.

The exocyst complex is required for targeting of Glut4 to the plasma membrane by insulin
Article Abstract:
The interaction of G protein TC10 with one of the components of the exocyst complex, Exo70 presented. Through the activation of TC10, Exo70 translocates to the plasma membrane in response to insulin.
