Comparative chemosensation from receptors to ecology
Article Abstract:
The olfactory perception from the odorant receptor protein to the activity of olfactory neurons to higher processing centers and to behavior are explored in Drosophila. The comparison of rodent, insect and nematode olfaction perception has revealed surprising differences and unexpected similarities among chemosensory systems.
