Non-mutualistic yucca moths and their evolutionary consequences
Article Abstract:
Reversal of an obligate mutualism between yuccas and yucca moths has been observed. Within the yucca moth complex, distinct cheater species derived from obligate pollinators lay their eggs but do not pollinate the yucca. These cheaters oviposit into fertilized flowers and fruit and the larvae feed on developing seeds, thus depending on the pollinating moths for the subsistence of their larvae. The phylogenetic pattern provides explanation on the persistence of obligate mutualism despite the heavy cost on the host plant imposed by these cheaters.

Structure in mutualistic networks
Article Abstract:
The article discusses on the statistical analyses of the networks formed by plant-animal mutualism using study made by Rezende and group. The study shows the evolutionary history of plants and animals explaining their network patterns and suggests that closely related species tend to play similar roles in the network.

A general integrative model for scaling plant growth, carbon flux, and functional trait spectra
Article Abstract:
A generalized integrative trait-based model is derived and used for the scaling of plant growth, carbon flux, and functional trait spectra in plants. The model can also be effectively used for the calculation of the carbon use efficiency.
