Off by a whisker
Article Abstract:
The differences between the species of the rats subjected to clinical trial of cancer drugs can ruin the best-laid plans of researchers and drug companies. Both academia and industry are planning to genetically engineer mice that more accurately reflect cancer in humans to test and see whether they can better predict how humans will respond to new drug compounds.

Electric current captures top sperm
Article Abstract:
A method to isolate high-quality sperm from a sample of semen using an electric current is devised and it is lead to more efficiency in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. The new method developed relies on a technique known as electrophoresis, and the fact that negatively charged sperm have the most intact DNA.
