Parkinson's transplant therapy faces setback
Article Abstract:
The experimental technique that uses transplanted fetal tissues to treat Parkinson's disease is not ready to be used, as the clinical tests were not clear. This disease is described to destroy neurons that produce the chemical dopamine, which is required for the normal functioning of the brain.

The controversial issue related to correction of data on stem cell, multipotent adult progenitor cells (MAPCs) research which does not undermine conclusion from the findings concerning the data from journal Blood 2001 and data in a U.S. patent filing is reported.

Surgeons, seek go-ahead to perform first face transplant
Article Abstract:
A surgical team is asking for the permission to do the first face transplant. The team has submitted a proposal to an ethics review body in the Netherlands. Critics are of the opinion that the risk of the procedure is too high.
