Directed bending of a polymer film by light
Article Abstract:
The authors discuss the study of polymer solutions and solids containing light-sensitive molecules. They demonstrate that a single film of liquid-crystal network with azobenzene chromophore can be bent along any direction via the use of lineary polarized light.
