Port Jackson Sharks
Article Abstract:
A description is presented on Port Jackson Sharks, Heterodontus portusjacksoni, which are found along Australia's New South Wales coast. A species of horn sharks, Port Jackson Sharks lay corkscrew-shaped eggs, feed on mollusks, fishes and sea urchins, and are not considered threatened although destruction of habitat and overfishing pose risks to their populations.

Shark nets in the spotlight
Article Abstract:
The shark nets, which are set on the bottom, threaten those sharks that try to swim through them. As a result they become entangled and immobilised in the wide mesh and in turn reduce the population sizes of sharks and poses a threat to swimmers.
