Electromagnetically induced transparency with tunable single-photon pulses
Article Abstract:
Techniques for the practical realization of quantum networks involve the manipulation of quantum pulses of light in optically dense atomic ensemble using electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT). This can be used for the controllable generation, transmission and storage of single photons with tunable frequency and bandwidth.
