Carriage horses need special care and attention because of the stressful environment that they encounter everyday. Carriage operators should feed their horses properly, give them sanitary drinking water and bring them to the veterinarian regularly for complete check-up to ensure that they are in good health.

Coronado guilty of public relations

Environmental and animal rights activist Rod Coronado has pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting an arson fire at Michigan State University's mink-research laboratory. However, he refused to testify against the Animal Liberation Front who were allegedly responsible for the fire.

Caring for older animals

Older animals require veterinary checkups at least twice a year. They should be fed with low-calorie foods and groomed three times a week or so. Older animals should also have enough exercise to remain healthy.
