Repeal of embryo law urged after child's cure
Article Abstract:
The law on assisted reproduction in Italy bans the testing of embryos for genetic disease and also restricts the number of embryos which may be generated for in vitro fertilization to three, and the opponents of this law is pushing for its repeal. Girolamo Sirchia, the Italian health minister hoped to strengthen the government's position that embryonic manipulation is not required for medical progress.

An unwieldy hybrid
Article Abstract:
The U.K. government's draft bill on hybrid embryos will be hindering the embryo research. The politicians are attempting to compose a definitive list of acceptable methods for creating hybrid embryos.
