Article Abstract:
The massive piece commissioned from Thomas Heatherwick, which furnish a seven-story space in the Wellcome Trusts's new headquarters in London is a technical, visual and conceptual tour de force. The statistics are impressive with almost 150,000 glass spheres, 26,732 stainless steel wires, 0.5 mm in diameter, and the sculpture of nearly 30 meters in height and a total weight of 14 tonnes.

Jean Painleve is the pioneer of the development of film techniques that resulted in natural surrealism. His nature films, 'Surreal Things', are exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London until 22 July 2007.
