Poison metal band member Rocket became an antivivisectionist while in eighth grade when he refused to take part in an advanced biology course in which he had to dissect a cat. In conjunction with his antivivisectionist views, he has also became a vegetarian and promotes the ideals of vegetarianism.

The life of animal activist, Sally Mackler, is discussed. Mackler is opposed to Measure 34 which aims to overturn a ruling about bear baiting. She has also been involved in many other aspects of animal protection.
