Spring-time for sinks
Article Abstract:
Carbon sinks are found to slow down and decrease the growth of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and are hence extremely helpful in determining the rate of increase in the global temperatures. Various measures are being taken to enhance the much larger oceanic carbon sinks through iron fertilization, as they are at great risks from the land-use changes and needs to be protected for engineering the future climate.

Governors take the initiative over US carbon dioxide emissions
Article Abstract:
Nine US northeastern states has set targets for cutting back on regional carbon dioxide emission based on a plan given by Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiatives (RGGI). The aim of these states is to set an example and to establish a working model that could be used nationally.
