Star gazing moves south
Article Abstract:
The changing climate and the job market for local astronomers and stargazers in South Africa and Chile are discussed. The ideal geographical location, atmospheric conditions and clear night skies have made Chile and South Africa an astronomy hot spot and they are trying their level best to strengthen their role in international astronomy.

The author discusses the importance of hiring proper researchers with suitable management training by the junior science-faculty members and staff in an organization. The findings show that the management training provides the interviewing and negotiating techniques to the recruiter.
