Structure and nucleic-acid binding of the Drosophila argonaute 2 PAZ domain
Article Abstract:
A three-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance structure of the argonaute 2 PAZ domain of Drosophila melanogaster exhibits a nucleic-acid-binding fold, which is stabilized by hydrophobic amino acid residues. The nucleic-acid-binding patch is situated in a clef tbetween a central beta-barrel and a module comprising beta3, beta4, and helix alpha3.

Structure and conserved RNA binding of the PAZ domain
Article Abstract:
Nuclear magnetic resonance solution structure of the PAZ domain from Drosophila melanogaster Argonaute 1 protein shows a left-handed, six-stranded beta-barrel with two alpha-helices at one end and a long beta-hairpin and a short alpha-helix on one side. Data indicate that the domain binds a 5-nucleotide RNA with 1:1 stoichiometry.

Molecular structure of nucleic acids: a structure for deoxyribose nucleic acid
Article Abstract:
A radically different structure for the salt of deoxyribose nucleic acid (DNA) is suggested. This structure described is rather ill defined and has novel features, which are of considerable biological interest.
