Summing up cancer stem cells
Article Abstract:
A pioneering approach to the development of treatments uses a mathematical model to follow how different types of tumor cells respond to therapy. The dynamic changes in populations of cancer cells during treatment are illustrated, and also that their data fit with the theory that there is a small population of cells, 'cancer stem cells', that are ultimately responsible for the growth of tumors and are resistant to current therapies.

Creation of long-lasting blood vessels
Article Abstract:
In regenerative medicine, the fundamental challenge for tissue engineering is the construction of stable blood vessels. By passing the need for risky genetic manipulations, a network of long-lasting blood vessels can be formed in mice by co-implantation of vascular endothelial cells and mesenchymal precursor cells.

Cancer cells compress intratumour vessels
Article Abstract:
Evidence is provided to state that proliferating cancer cells can cause intratumour vessels to compress and collapse. The Cytotoxic cancer treatments have the potential to increase blood perfusion by reducing the compressive mechanical force and opening vessels, thereby improving drug delivery.
