Superconductivity at 39 K in magnesium diboride
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the bulk superconductivity which results when magnesium diboride is heated to 39 degrees Kelvin. The resistivity and magnetization measurements which established the transition temperature are discussed.

Spontaneous macroscopic magnetization at the superconducting transition temperature of YBa2Cu3O7-delta
Article Abstract:
It has been possible to identify a weak magnetic field arising spontaneously at the superconducting transition temperature of epitaxial thin films of YBa2Cu3O7-delta. The source of the magnetic signal is near the edges of the samples.

Stripes defeat the Fermi liquid
Article Abstract:
Experiments have shown that the conventional theories of metals and superconductors are not now universally valid, but give further credibility to dynamical stripes, an alternative view of electrons in solids.
